Launch Progress
The welcome wizard that collects review sites, website access, phone rules, and preferences.
Settings → Launch Progress opens Welcome to GetDandy! (/launch). The same wizard is linked from the Dashboard banner while onboarding is still unfinished. It is not Integrations (where you actually connect Google, Facebook, and Tripadvisor).
What it is
The wizard is titled Onboarding. It walks the account through review-site readiness, website access, voice setup, transfer rules, and assistant preferences. The header shows Step X of 5 and a progress bar. View progress opens a summary of which sections are ready.
Open the screen
- Click Launch Progress under Settings, or click the launch banner on Dashboard.
- Use Continue / Go back at the bottom. Going back to an earlier step warns that the later step will be marked incomplete again, and that changes on later steps can be cleared.
Step 1 — Connect review sites
Per location you see three chips:
- Google Business Profile — Connected or Not connected
- GBP AI agent access — Connected or Not connected
- Facebook page — Connected or Not connected
A location is Ready when Google and GBP AI agent access are both connected. Otherwise it shows Needs Google. The count at the top is “N of M locations ready”. Connect the networks from Integrations; this step only reports live status.
Step 2 — Connect Your Website
Fields:
- Website URL (required) — the public site
- Admin URL (optional) — WordPress, Shopify, or CMS login
- Add us to your team instead? — toggle between credentials and team access
- If credentials: Username and Password
- If team: add
growthadvisor@getdandy.comas a team member with access to install the chat widget - Chat Snippet — copy the HTML and place it before
</body>on every page that should show the widget - What would you like your webchat agent to do? (optional)
GetDandy uses this access to install widgets, tracking, booking, and SEO helpers. You can also install the snippet yourself from Website Widgets → Integration.
Step 3 — AI Voice Setup
Fields:
- Phone Provider (required) — pick from the list or Other plus a custom name
- Customer Service Phone Number (required) — the number guests already dial
- Support Email Address (optional)
- What do you want this AI Agent to do? (required) — tasks for Carrie on the phone
Step 4 — AI Call Transfer Rules
When Carrie is live on a call she can transfer the guest if intent matches a rule. Pick a location, then for each rule:
- When the caller... — trigger condition (or a custom description)
- Optional extra detail
- Transfer to (label) — the name Carrie says out loud (for example Front Desk)
- Phone number — direct line, digits only
- A Preview of the announcement
- + Add Another Transfer Rule / Remove
Rules are optional here. You can add them later from Live Phone Receptionist.
Step 5 — Preferences (Almost Done!)
Scope the answers to Merchant level or Location level (then pick the location).
- Business Description (required, 3000 characters)
- Communication Tone (required) — including Custom
- Business Hours (required) — open/close per weekday, closed, or 24 hours
- Common FAQs — question and answer rows, plus example prompts
Finish the last step to mark the wizard complete. The Dashboard banner then uses the completed copy, or it disappears once onboarding is done.
Empty, locked, or incomplete
- An incomplete step blocks Continue until required fields are filled.
- Jumping ahead opens an incomplete warning. Confirm if you really want to leave the current step unfinished.
- Review-site chips stay Not connected until Integrations succeeds.
